We invite you to join our Good Mending class with a focus on the Japanese sewing technique called Sashiko.
Sashiko is a very beautiful and intentional practice of garment repair. It focuses on reinforcing heavily worn fabric with hand stitching to prevent further mending. The process appreciates the fabric and extends the life of the garment via hand stitching.
Sashiko makes fabrics thicker, stronger, and warmer.
Like many great things, Sashiko was born out of limited resources and necessity. It highlights appreciation, intentionality, and longevity.
Join us for a nourishing workshop.
This is a slow class and requires patience and it will be worth it. Our goal for you is to leave the class refreshed and more appreciative of your blessings.
The class is intended to be fun and relaxing while teaching you the art of hand mending with a focus on Sashiko.
See you soon!
